The Jessie Schenk Memorial Turkey Chase was started in 2010 to benefit the Jessica Schenk Memorial Scholar/Athlete Scholarship. This annual award is given in loving memory of Jessica Schenk who was an outstanding student athlete at Port Clinton High School. She excelled not only in the classroom but on the tennis courts, track, cross country course, and in the swimming pool. Jessie graduated in 2008 and went on to pursue a degree in physical education. During her time at West Virginia University and Kent State University, Jessie continued to pursue her main passion: running. She is missed intensely by her family, friends, and colleagues. Jessie will always be remembered with love and laughter.
